An interactive pathway through the forest to explore the relationship we have with nature in urban spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What happens when a place that has been neglected by people is
quietly thriving without them?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was the question we explored during the YouRban residency. Spending time in the undergrowth of La Goccia Forest, we realised how little we knew about the ecosystem growing alongside us. The residency became an opportunity to develop tangible ways of rethinking the relationship between people and nature in urban spaces, including non-human species within the design process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The forest observation platform is a modular structure which invites humans to slow down and observe their surroundings, to learn about the flora and fauna, to take a pause and change their point of view, to play and climb, to touch and listen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The platforms that compose the structure are conceived to bring attention to different elements of the forest, creating interactions between nature and humans. The platforms created are: a platform with concave parts reminiscent of the erosion of water, plastic moulded from the barks of different trees from La Goccia to create textured platforms, and a platform with tunnels to allow ants to walk through it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The FOP is designed around three modes of engagement: exploration, observation, and interaction. The platforms allow to create pathways through the forest, as well as, observation point for human visitors to explore the natural surroundings with care and respect of the flora and fauna that inhabit it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qu\u00e8 passa quan un lloc que ha estat abandonat per les persones prospera silenciosament sense elles?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aquesta va ser la pregunta que vam explorar durant la resid\u00e8ncia YouRban. Passant temps al sotabosc del bosc de La Goccia, vam adonar-nos de com poc coneix\u00edem l\u2019ecosistema que creixia al nostre costat. La resid\u00e8ncia es va convertir en una oportunitat per repensar la relaci\u00f3 entre les persones i la natura en entorns urbans, incorporant les esp\u00e8cies no humanes dins del proc\u00e9s de disseny.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

La plataforma d\u2019observaci\u00f3 del bosc \u00e9s una estructura modular que convida les persones a frenar i observar l\u2019entorn, con\u00e8ixer la flora i la fauna, fer una pausa i canviar el punt de vista, jugar, escalar, tocar i escoltar.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les plataformes que la componen estan pensades per posar en valor diferents elements del bosc i crear interaccions entre natura i humans. N\u2019hi ha amb formes c\u00f2ncaves que recorden l\u2019erosi\u00f3 de l\u2019aigua, peces de pl\u00e0stic modelades a partir de l\u2019escor\u00e7a d\u2019arbres de La Goccia per generar superf\u00edcies texturades, i plataformes amb t\u00fanels que permeten el pas de les formigues.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

El FOP es basa en tres modes d\u2019interacci\u00f3: exploraci\u00f3, observaci\u00f3 i interacci\u00f3. Les plataformes permeten crear recorreguts pel bosc i punts d\u2019observaci\u00f3 perqu\u00e8 els visitants explorin l\u2019entorn natural amb cura i respecte per la flora i la fauna que l\u2019habiten.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfQu\u00e9 ocurre cuando un lugar que ha sido abandonado por las personas prospera silenciosamente sin ellas?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Esta fue la pregunta que exploramos durante la residencia YouRban. Pasando tiempo en el sotobosque del bosque de La Goccia, nos dimos cuenta de lo poco que conoc\u00edamos el ecosistema que crec\u00eda a nuestro lado. La residencia se convirti\u00f3 en una oportunidad para repensar la relaci\u00f3n entre las personas y la naturaleza en entornos urbanos, incorporando a las especies no humanas dentro del proceso de dise\u00f1o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La plataforma de observaci\u00f3n del bosque es una estructura modular que invita a las personas a ralentizar y observar el entorno, conocer la flora y la fauna, hacer una pausa y cambiar el punto de vista, jugar, trepar, tocar y escuchar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Las plataformas que la componen est\u00e1n pensadas para poner en valor distintos elementos del bosque y crear interacciones entre naturaleza y humanos. Hay plataformas con formas c\u00f3ncavas que recuerdan la erosi\u00f3n del agua, piezas de pl\u00e1stico moldeadas a partir de la corteza de \u00e1rboles de La Goccia para generar superficies texturadas, y plataformas con t\u00faneles que permiten el paso de las hormigas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El FOP se basa en tres modos de interacci\u00f3n: exploraci\u00f3n, observaci\u00f3n e interacci\u00f3n. Las plataformas permiten crear recorridos por el bosque y puntos de observaci\u00f3n para que los visitantes exploren el entorno natural con cuidado y respeto por la flora y la fauna que lo habitan.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
