Replastic Lamps

Replastic Lamps modular rFRP lamp collection explores translucency and warm ambient glow, now evolving toward recycled plastic production — giving plastic waste a second life while unifying the design’s material identity across urban and private contexts.

This is a lighting collection for interior and exterior spaces. The objects in this collection aim to generate comfort—a condition as desired and sought after as it is mysterious and difficult to achieve. It arises from a set of qualities that we would like to consider objective and universal to define them, yet they are often shifting, personal, and cultural.

Through the investigation and research of this material, FRP, this series of wall, floor, and pendant lamps produces a soft, diffused light.

The pieces are entirely made of FRP, using a recipe that has been developed over the past months. The result is a transparent and colourful material, resembling a Dalmatian-like pattern, marked by the different recycled fibbers it contains.

It is a changing material, capable of adopting many forms. At times it may resemble stone, asphalt, glass, candy, or even fuet.

The whole prototyping process has been one of constant surprise—without precise prediction, adapting to the results that the material gradually revealed.
