Project: The Care Square

A modular urban furniture system addressing the challenge of revitalising public squares through participation and inclusion.
Enabling experiences, relationships, and forms of presence in public space.
The project was developed in response to the increasing complexity and acceleration of contemporary urban life, in which public spaces are often reduced to spaces of transit and consumption, and where issues related to mental well-being, social isolation, and the loss of meaningful human connection are becoming increasingly evident.
The object integrates three experiential dimensions: a writable surface for collective expression, built-in planters for ongoing engagement with nature, and a tabletop designed to evoke sensory reflection.
